Accessibility statement for richardfjackson.com

I want everyone to be able to use this site, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology.

Standard

I aim for this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What has been checked

Automated checks run against the site's key pages: the page language is set, every image has alternative text, each page has a single main heading, embedded videos have titles, and icon-only buttons (menu, play/pause, close player) have accessible names. The audio player announces play and pause to screen readers. This is not a full audit by an accessibility specialist.

Known limitations

- Video captions. Some YouTube videos embedded on the site may not have captions.

- Colour contrast. Text colours were measured on the main public pages and corrected to meet the AA ratio. A few decorative separators are lighter, and pages not yet checked may still contain low-contrast text.

- Third-party content. Embedded YouTube, Spotify, Bandcamp and SoundCloud players, and the contact form's reCAPTCHA, are provided by other companies and are outside my control.

Feedback and contact

If you find a barrier on this site, or need information in another format, please tell me using the contact form. Say which page you were on and what happened, and the assistive technology you use if you are happy to share it. I will aim to reply within 10 working days.
