"Scuttle" is about recognising behavioural patterns which you're stuck in - gameplay loops for living - which you understand are Not Good but find impossible to break out of. "Scuttle" is my Song A Month ("_sam") recording - written, arranged and recorded in February 2024.

The video was directed by Matt Creed who had the following to say about it:

"Originally briefed as a Lyric Video, I wanted to push it to make it more than just Lyrics on screen. In doing so, I filmed Rich in my house singing and playing guitar, then took that footage into After Effects to create this [controlled] chaotic distortion. I described this video as Rich trying to escape from a VHS. This was made for Cardiff-based artist JacksorJacksor who is working on a Song a Month project and in turn, I'm joining the quest to make a Video each month. This project has provided me with an awesome opportunity to try out new ideas and techniques. And I'm incredibly proud of what I've made for Scuttle."
